Westchester native Aerin Frankel making big moves for Team USA
A women's hockey goaltender with ties to Westchester County has made it to the Olympic stage.
Aerin Frankel attended Roaring Brook Elementary School in Chappaqua before later transferring to Shattuck-Saint Mary's preparatory school in Minnesota.
Her love for the game started at the Westchester Skating Academy in Elmsford.

She played for the Westchester Vipers organization growing up. Fast forward to the present day, and she is a goaltender for Team USA.
Team USA women's hockey team faced off against Canada on Feb. 10. Frankel was in the net.

Frankel made 20 saves to help Team USA win 5-0.
This was the first time the Canadian women's team had ever been shut out in the Olympics.

This marks Frankel's second shutout during the Olympic Games. The first was against Finland on Feb. 7.
Team USA will take on Italy in the quarterfinals on Feb. 13.
