A Westchester County man is accused of posing as an FBI agent at Rye Playland and showing officers a fake badge.
Police say 47-year-old John Fiore claimed to be an FBI agent while at the amusement park.
Authorities said Fiore displayed what appeared to be an FBI badge and told people that he and his dog had been shot in the line of duty.
Officers investigated the claims and determined they were false.
Police also allege Fiore attempted to kick the fake badge away when officers located him.
Fiore, who police say is from Somers, was charged with criminal impersonation.
Additional details about the incident were not immediately released.
