A motorcycle crash has left a Westchester County man and Marine veteran fighting for his life while his family fights to bring him home to New York.
Kyle Mallory moved from Westchester County to Arizona for a new job. His fresh start came to a halt last week while riding his motorcycle.
Mallory's mother, Tracy Sheridan, says an older man did not see her son when pulling out of a shopping plaza.
Sheridan says she can't visit her son because of hospital restrictions linked to the coronavirus.
The 24-year-old is on a respirator, in a coma and alone. His family is now on a mission to bring him home to a Westchester hospital.
Mallory left his second tour of duty early, disqualifying him from military health benefits, so a friend started a GoFundMe to assist with medical bills. In just a day, nearly $50,000 was raised, which would cover the veteran's one-way ticket home on an air ambulance.
There is no word on when Mallory will return home.
