2ds agoHeavy snow fell across Westchester early Tuesday morning, creating a blanket of snow and slushy conditions on the roadways.
Plows could be seen hitting parkways, major roads and parking lots.
Residents began the heavy lifting by shoveling out driveways and sidewalks.
The snow didn't stop residents from their daily routines in Bronxville. Many residents were seen cleaning off cars, grabbing a cup of coffee and making their way to the Metro-North station to head to work.
Some others got to play, as dozens of kids and parents made their way to Webb Park in Hartsdale.
White Plains and Greenburgh school districts canceled classes on the first snow day for kids this year.

Over in Bronxville, the snow didn't stop residents from their daily routines. Many residents could be seen cleaning off cars, grabbing a cup of coffee and making their way to the Metro-North station to head to work.
And while some worked, others played.
Dozens of kids and parents made their way to a hill at Webb Park in Hartsdale.
Both White Plains School District and Greenburgh School District canceled classes, the first snow day for kids this year - and it was much appreciated. "We are sledding, and I like to sled. It's like my first time," says Addison, who was home from school.
One parent who spoke to News 12 used to sled here as a kid, and it was her first time bringing her kids out. "We moved across from the Midwest, and I promised them all this snow and sledding ... and it's been three years and this is the first snow to sled in," laughed Lauren Ferry, of Hartsdale.
