Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore has announced Tuesday that no criminal charges will be filed in the deadly Taconic State Parkway crash.
Following a meeting with state police and some of the victims' relatives, DiFiore said the case in the wrong-way collision is closed because the driver, Diane Schuler, died in the July 26 crash along with her 2-year-old daughter, three nieces and three Yonkers men.
DiFiore also added that there isn't enough evidence to charge Daniel Schuler, the driver's husband.
Investigators have been questioning Daniel Schuler to determine whether he was aware that his wife was drunk and high on marijuana before getting behind the wheel.
Final reports on the Taconic crash will be released by authorities in approximately six weeks.
