The Westchester County Police Department is proudly announcing it has once again received New York state accreditation.
Agencies are reaccredited every five years.
A panel of law enforcement professionals reviews police departments around the state and judges them on Administration, Training, and Operations.
This news means the Westchester County Police Department meets or exceeds expectations of quality, performs in a professional manner, has formalized policies in place to govern its operational practices and procedures, and that its employees contribute to the agency's mission and know what is expected of them.
