Westchester County Executive and gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino is criticizing Gov. Cuomo for not releasing the projected tolls of the new Tappan Zee Bridge.
Astorino says the governor isn't giving any access to information on the tolls, and claims that it's a big political game before the November elections.
"He's trying to hold off until after the elections for all the bad news to come out," Astorino says.
Astorino and other Republicans from Rockland County say the rumored toll could be as much as $15.
Another concern is the cost of the bridge. The Bridge Authority says that number is almost $4 billion, but Republicans say the real cost with interest and other factors will be much higher, and they say commuters will pay for it.
Cuomo told News 12 today that so far the bridge is under budget. He also says his office is looking into federal and state funding to ensure the tolls will be as low as possible.
