Prosecutor: West New York man accused of cutting woman's throat with a razor blade

The victim was transported to HMH Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen with life-threatening injuries.

A man from West New York is accused of cutting a woman's throat with a razor blade in Cliffside Park on Monday.
Cliffside Park police responded to a report around 5 p.m. of a domestic violence incident involving serious bodily injury, according to Bergen County prosecutors. Authorities say Ernesto Lara-Rojo, 49, cut the female victim’s throat with a razor blade.
The victim was transported to HMH Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen with life-threatening injuries.
Lara-Rojo was charged with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree aggravated assault and weapons charges.
