WEATHER TO WATCH: Wintry mix for Friday in the Hudson Valley before overnight snow

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Addison Green says a wintry mix will arrive Friday afternoon in the Hudson Valley before it turns to an all-snow event into the overnight hours.
WHAT'S NEW: A winter weather advisory is in effect starting Friday afternoon and lasting into Saturday morning. Parts of the Hudson Valley, closer to the Catskills, could see a few inches of snow.
WHAT'S NEXT: The weekend is not a washout. Snow tapers off in the morning and then drier conditions. Clocks will “spring forward” Sunday morning.
FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Scattered clouds with a chill in the air. Feels-like temperatures in the low-20s. Lows in the upper-20s to low-30s.
FRIDAY - WEATHER TO WATCH: Some sun in the morning then cloudy by midday. Rain and snow moves in for the afternoon hours and turns to all snow overnight. Highs in the upper-30s to low-40s. Lows in the upper-20s.
SATURDAY - WEATHER TO WATCH: Snow showers taper off in the morning with breezy winds and partly cloudy skies to follow. Highs in the upper-30s to low-40s. Lows in the upper-20s.
SUNDAY - DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME BEGINS: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Highs in the mid-40s. Lows in the mid-30s.
MONDAY - WEATHER TO WATCH: Cloudy with a chance of rain and snow. Highs in the upper-30s to low-40s. Lows in the mid-30s.
TUESDAY- WEATHER TO WATCH: Snow showers at first then partly cloudy and windy skies. Highs in the upper-30s to low-40s. Lows in the mid-20s.
WEDNESDAY: Sun and clouds with windy conditions at times. Highs in the upper-30s to low-40s. Lows in the upper-20s.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy and seasonable. Highs in the mid-40s. Lows in the upper-20s to low-30s.
FRIDAY - ST. PATRICK’S DAY: Mostly sunny and pleasant. Highs in the upper-40s. Lows in the mid-30s.
SATURDAY: A mix of sun and clouds with a chance for rain showers. Highs in the upper-40s. Lows in the mid-30s.
