WHAT'S NEW: Another day, another chance for dealing with showers and some thunderstorms. Some ponding is possible on the roads for Saturday morning with a threat a few storms moving through for the afternoon hours.
WHAT'S NEXT: Shower and storm chances will linger through the weekend (although Sunday will fair a little drier) and into the first half of next week. But the silver lining to this dreary pattern is that we need the rain. As the region is in a widespread “abnormally dry” drought (level 1 of 5) and Orange County, into Rockland County, is in a “Moderate Drought” (level 2 of 5).
OVERNIGHT: Cloudy with showers moving in and a chance for some patchy fog. Lows: mid 60s.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Highs: upper 70s to low 80s. Lows: mid to upper 60s.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy with a rain & storm chance. Highs: upper 70s to low 80s. Lows: mid 60s.
