Sunshine remains in Hudson Valley through Labor Day weekend

NEXT: Clouds will increase tonight into Thursday morning. However, winds will shift coming from the Northwest that will be bringing cooler temperatures for Thursday and Friday. Clearer skies are expected leading to a nice dry stretch of weather ahead of the holiday weekend.

TROPICS:
Idalia is now a major Category 4 hurricane, and is bringing catastrophic storm surge and destructive winds to the west/northwest coast of Florida. The storm, making landfall this morning, will weaken and the remnants will stay suppressed south and NOT IMPACT US LOCALLY.
Franklin is down to Category 2 hurricane strength and continues to head out to sea. However, Atlantic Ocean facing beaches will have dangerous rip currents and rough surf this week. NO IMPACT LOCALLY UNLESS YOU ARE HEADING TO NEW JERSEY OR LONG ISLAND BEACHES!
