Rockland County-based Pfizer is now pledging to deliver 300 million doses two weeks early - 10% more than previously agreed upon.
Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said on Twitter that Pfizer can deliver 10% more doses to the U.S. by the end of May than it had previously agreed to produce.
Bourla says the full 300 million will be delivered by the end of July.
The announcement came as dozens of states temporarily stopped administering Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine following an FDA advisory. “In the fight against COVID-19, we’re in this together,” Bourla tweeted.
