Some residents in Westchester and the Hudson Valley were up before sunrise Wednesday to pick up their last-minute gifts for Christmas.
The Macy's store at Cross County Center in Yonkers has been open around the clock for those who work late, are up early, couldn't sleep or started their shopping late.
Last-minute shoppers say they were able to find some great deals at stores. There were store liquidation sales taking place at KB Toys, and many stores offered discounts of 50 percent or more to lure shoppers.
Cross County Property Manager Robert Ryan was pleased with the turnout of shoppers Wednesday, though he did notice many long lines in stores.
"Today's been a great shopping day,? Ryan says. ?Folks [took] advantage of the sales and [got] last minute shopping done."
