6 ways to volunteer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Looking for ways to volunteer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and help those facing breast cancer, and their loved ones?
Here are six ways you can help:
Pack HOPE Kits for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF):HOPE Kits
are a tangible expression of hope given to women in treatment for breast cancer. You can also help by buying a HOPE Kit
for yourself or a loved one, and send one to a woman in need.
Pack Breast Health Kits:
Breast Health Kits are given to guests attending community outreach events. Part awareness, part educational, these kits empower women to take control of their breast health and reach out to NBCF with any questions they have.
Become a Community Ambassador:A Community Ambassador
is a person of leadership that seeks opportunities to share breast health information and promote NBCF's programs to members in their community.
Grab a pink bagel from Panera:
From Oct. 1-31, Panera Bread
will donate 39 cents of every pink bagel sold to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Want to maximize your bagel buying impact? Go on Oct. 9 – they’ll donate 100% of the proceeds on that day only.
