A boil water advisory in Cornwall is in effect following a water main break in the village. 

The advisory is for anyone who lives along River Avenue from Spruce Street to Shore Road, as well as Riverbank Lane and Shore Road from Wood Avenue to the Town of Cornwall Sewer Plant.

The affected area will remain on a boil water advisory until at least Wednesday.

Residents will be notified once the advisory is lifted.
