- Heat advisories have been issued for several counties in the Hudson Valley (Eastern Ulster, Dutchess, Rockland and Westchester counties) for Friday.

- They heat advisories may be extended and expanded for Saturday as well.

- Temperatures will feel in the mid-90s to low 100-degree range for Friday.

- There will be a chance of storms developing Friday and a few could turn strong to severe in the afternoon hours.

- Saturday has that threat linger with temperatures being a few degrees lower.

- Sunday stays unsettled with scattered shower chances.

- The high levels of humidity back down for Sunday and into early next week.

FRIDAY -- HEAT ALERT: Mostly sunny with a chance for a scattered pop-up storms and hot and humid conditions. Highs in the upper-80s to low-90s with feels-like temperatures of mid-90s to low-100s.

SATURDAY -- POSSIBLE HEAT ALERT: Mix of sun and clouds with a chance for showers and isolated storms. It will still feel warm and muggy. Highs in the upper-80s to low-90s with feels-like temperatures of mid- to upper-90s. The record temperature of 96 was set back in 2006. Lows in the low-70s.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny to a mix of sun and clouds with a chance for showers. It will feel a touch less warm and muggy. Highs in the mid-80s with feels-like temperatures of upper-80s to low-90s. Lows in the upper-60s to low-70s.
