Wake services held for Port Chester police officer killed in an off-duty motorbike crash

Wake services were held Friday night for the Port Chester police officer who was killed in an off-duty accident.

Family and friends gathered at the Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester to pay their final respects to 23-year-old Christopher Bernal.

Bernal died last weekend after his motorcycle crashed in Highlands.

He had been with the department for one year.

His funeral is scheduled for Saturday at the Parish of Saint John Bosco.

Bernal is survived by his father, sister and girlfriend.
