Family and friends of Officer Wilbert Mora, the second officer fatally shot in Harlem just over a week ago, had the chance to honor and say their goodbyes Tuesday. 

Thousands of people, including members of the NYPD and Officer Wilbert Mora's family and friends, were expected to pay their respects to the officer at St. Patrick's Cathedral. 

Just like his partner Detective Jason Rivera's service, Mora's wake was open to the public Tuesday. 

Mora was just 27 years old and a four-year veteran on the force when he died. Mora was shot in the head while responding to a domestic violence call on Jan. 21. Mora died from his injuries on Jan. 25.

Since the deadly shooting, New Yorkers have been showing support by stopping by the 32nd Precinct where the officers worked to light candles and say prayers.

His viewing services will continue until 8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Mora's funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Mora's organs were donated, saving five lives.
