The Village of Mamaroneck has announced increased benefits for volunteer firefighters injured in the line of duty.
Volunteer firefighters that are injured in any fire department activity will now receive $1,000 per week, up from $650.
Additionally, the medical expense benefit has been raised from $15,000 to $50,000, and the death benefit increased from $30,000 to $50,000.
