Eastchester went ahead with its festivities for its Columbus Day Sunday despite a violent incident that occurred on Saturday night.
On Saturday evening, the friendly festival was marred by violence when a fight broke out between two teenage boys.
Cell phone video appears to show a boy dressed in black using the bb gun in his right hand to hit boy dressed in white.
Viral social media posts claimed that shots had been fired and that someone was even hit by bullets, but police said those posts were untrue.
Fast forward to the festivities on Sunday, "Christohper Columbus" put on an appearance, the comradery was back and attendees proudly wore their Italian pride close to their hearts.
Restaurant owners said they have seen the event grow and evolve over the last several years, drawing crowds with offerings of good food, fun and games for the entire family.
News 12’s Carol Wilkinson spoke with people who were at the event to celebrate Italian pride.
