Officials say a Marine who was living in Orange County was among the service members killed in a plane crash earlier this week.
Joshua Snowden was originally from Texas but was living in Monroe.
Two other Marines, Mark Hopkins and Owen Lennon, both from Montgomery, were also among the 16 casualties from Monday's crash. Flags in Montgomery are now at half-staff in memory of the two Marines, and a message of support for the military members is being displayed outside the Montgomery firehouse. A fund for the Hopkins family has been set up by Goodwill Church.
An interfaith vigil for the service members will be held Saturday evening at Rock Tavern Unitarian Universalists in New Windsor.
