VIDEO: 2 suspects assault, rob man in his apartment, police say
Police have released new video showing the suspects connected to an East Williamsburg assault and robbery Sunday night.
Police say on Sunday night, they went into an apartment building near Moore Street and Bogart Street. The video shows the men going door to door inside the building until they found an unlocked apartment door. According to police, the suspects forced the 23-year-old man inside the apartment to go room by room with them in a search for valuables.
At one point, police say they hit him in the head with a clothing iron and beat him up.
The suspects got away with Mac laptop, a Microsoft Surface laptop, a PlayStation 5, an Xbox 360, an iPad and an Android cellphone and ran out of the building. The victim was treated at the scene.
Police say the suspects were last seen running into the Morgan Avenue L train station. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
