Victim identified in fatal accident in town of Wallkill

State police have released the identity of the victim involved in a fatal accident in the Town of Wallkill.
The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Mary Shea. The incident occurred on Friday night along Route 211.
According to authorities, Shea, who was from Connecticut, was struck by an SUV on Route 17. The driver of the SUV immediately stopped, called 911, and attempted to provide first aid to Shea. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, Shea was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
