Earlier this week, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo agreed to send the US Navy hospital ship Comfort back to its original base in Virginia.
USNS Comfort was sent to Manhattan in March to help the city’s hospitals overwhelmed with coronavirus cases. With the Javits center converted into a temporary hospital, Cuomo says the Comfort didn’t receive a lot of patients.
According to President Donald Trump, the Comfort will be sent back to its base, "so that we could have it for other locations."
