This week Road Trip : Close to Home is taking you to a quaint Orange County town with plenty of unique local businesses to explore.
No matter the weather, it’s always a good to wander around Warwick - it's a beautiful town with so much to offer.
Start your day by fueling up at Fannies. Brunch is a blast at this local restaurant. Everything is made from scratch— even their ketchup, juices, and bread!
Chef Brittany will set you up to a great start for a day's adventures with hearty farm-to-table homemade meals -- between the pancakes, lamb burgers, salads and so much more!
You’ll also notice lots of artwork, and it’s all done by the talented owner - Stephanie!
In addition to this artwork, she can also brew a unique cup of Joe known as “Fannies Latte.” Take it to go and check out the Weeping Willows at Stanley Deming Park.
You’ll find beautiful local art, playgrounds for the little ones and plenty of peaceful places for the perfect stroll.
After that leisurely stroll, hurry on over to the next spot where we’ve got a flight to catch! A flight of wine that is!
From Chardonnay, Riesling, and Blackberry Wine to International Red and more, check out the flavors at Applewood Winery. "We've been in business since 1994, were a family-run business. We do wine-tasting flights, cider tasting flights with our Naked Flock Hard Ciders," says general manager Dylan Hull.
Just be ready to take your palate on its own adventure! "We make all of our wines right here on-site; everything is made from 100% New York state-grown fruits," says Hull.
You can sip inside the cozy quarters of the tasting room or take it outdoors where the views are vast, and your glass is full.
And don't forget to take a couple bottles of Applewood wine home with you because you can't find them anywhere else!
