Orange County wrong-way crash kills 11-year-old girl

Investigators say 34-year-old Yeraldo Roa, of Port Jervis, was driving west Saturday on Route 6 when he crossed over into the other lane and hit two cars.

A multicar crash over the weekend in Woodbury killed an 11-year-old girl, according to state police.
State police have identified the girl as Caylee Jolie Roa. They say she was in the car with 34-year-old Yeraldo Roa, of Port Jervis.
Investigators say Roa was driving west Saturday on Route 6 when he crossed over into the other lane and hit two cars. They say he then continued going the wrong way and hit a minivan head on.
Roa survived and was treated for facial injuries, broken bones, and possible internal injuries.
Police say people in the other cars were hurt but will be OK.
State police ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) at the state police barracks in Monroe at 845-782-8311.
