Tuckahoe fire causes significant damage in apartment above VFW Post, 1 taken to hospital
One resident self-evacuated and was transported to the hospital but their condition is unknown.

Crews responded to a fire at Midland Place in Tuckahoe around 6:30 a.m. today.
Eastchester Fire Chief Brian Tween says firefighters arrived to find flames shooting out of second-floor windows.
Once inside, crews found that the fire had spread from a living room area to a dormer on the third floor. VFW Post 2768, located on the first floor, sustained water damage but no fire damage.
One resident self-evacuated and was transported to the hospital but their condition is unknown.
The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.
