President Donald Trump took to Twitter late Christmas night to speak about his impeachment.
Trump targeted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi--saying there was no evidence of any crime, no pressure on Ukraine to investigate Vice President Joe Biden and that there was no Republican support for the process.
The impeachment process is on hold while Congress is on its holiday recess.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he wants to see the articles of impeachment, which Pelosi has not yet sent to the Senate.
Democrats, including New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, are also wondering what witnesses will be called to testify. They say a trial without witnesses would be a sham.
McConnell says he hasn't ruled out calling witnesses, but also indicated he is in no rush to seek new testimony.
