Members of one of the most violent street gangs in the borough have been convicted of attempted murder, racketeering and narcotics offenses.
A federal judge passed down the guilty verdicts to Carlos Urena and Limet Vasquez, members of the Trinitarios Gang.
Prosecutors say that back in 2005, the men had conspired to murder a man in Yonkers and were behind another attempted murder in Manhattan.
The convictions follow a series of recent gang takedowns in the Bronx. Investigators rounded up 34 suspected members of the rival gangs "Six Four Goons" and "Forest Over Everything" earlier this month.
Urena and Vasquez are now awaiting sentencing.
