Noramie Jasmin is charged with accepting bribes in connection to the Corridor of Corruption scheme.
Prosecutors say the Democrat misused her position as mayor to guarantee herself a 50 percent stake in a catering hall and community center on village-owned property.
Among the testifying witnesses on Monday was an FBI agent, who posed as a wealthy developer from White Plains.
On the stand, he told the judge that Jasmin briefed him on what to say when appearing before the Spring Valley Board of Trustees to win the contract to build the three-story, multimillion-dollar community center.
The wire fraud and extortion case against Jasmin is also tied to the corruption case against former state Sen. Malcolm Smith. Smith was convicted in February of bribery and other charges involving the 2013 New York mayoral race.
Jasmin's non-jury trial resumes Tuesday morning at U.S. District Court in White Plains.
