The man accused of putting a body in a suitcase and leaving it along a Bronx highway will go on trial next month.
Police arrested Shawn Southerland in 2007 after the remains of his girlfriend, Christie Neely, were found on the Henry Hudson Parkway.
Southerland is facing murder charges and is expected to represent himself in court during the non-jury trial.
