The owners of a Croton-on-Hudson home spent Thursday assessing damage after a large tree fell onto their roof amid high winds.
The spruce fell on the Truesdale Drive home around 10 p.m. Wednesday. The family was inside at the time, but no one was injured. Firefighters responded, helping to patch up the roof to prevent rain from soaking the inside of the home.
A tree-removal company has inspected the site.
The fallen tree downed power lines, which Con Edison is working to fix. The street in front of the home is cordoned off.
Some areas in the Hudson Valley reported wind gusts of 67 mph during the storm.
