The news of a planned expansion to Executive Plaza in Yonkers has neighbors worried about a traffic nightmare.
The office park sits off Executive Boulevard, a two-lane road that already has a lot of traffic. The expansion proposal includes a Verizon switching and Hampton Inn Hotel. The addition also includes a five-story children?s hospital, known as the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center.
The Yonkers Planning Board heard public comments Wednesday on the expansion. The main concern is that something dramatic has to be done to improve the traffic situation.
Bill Null, an attorney for the office park?s owner, The Robert Martin Company, says they realize the traffic concerns and they will evaluate ways in which to address the impact.
