The New York State Department of Transportation will complete the remaining maintenance work on Route 9W in Rockland County.

The roadway will be closed in both directions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday in Orangetown. The closure will take place between Hickey Street in Piermont and the Shadyside Avenue/New York State Thruway Exit 10 interchange in South Nyack.

A signed detour will direct traffic via Routes 340, 303 and 59 in both directions.

NYSDOT says residents and businesses along the corridor, as well as delivery trucks, school buses and emergency services, will continue to have access within the work zone. Local police will assist NYSDOT with traffic control during the closures.

Drivers are asked to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and follow posted detour signs.
