News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Addison Green says Tropical Storm Ophelia will bring rain and chilly winds throughout the weekend in the Hudson Valley.
WHAT'S NEW: Consider Saturday a washout. Batches of moderate to heavy rain, along with gusty winds and dreary conditions will likely lead to most people staying inside and weekend events being postponed or canceled. The threat of flash flooding will be low, 1 out of 4 on the threat scale, but still possible for Saturday. For Sunday, that chance does go up, with a 2 out of 4 on the scale, for more widespread flood concerns as the ground will be very saturated and there will be runoff from Saturday. Rainfall totals will be around 1 to 3 inches.
WHAT'S NEXT: After Monday, when the eventual remnant low of Ophelia moves to the east, a few dry days will come around for the region. Another chance of rain is possible next Friday.
