Town officials are working to close a gay sex club that is operating in Goshen.

Dave's Place is located on 17M and has a slew of online ads that list the business as catering exclusively to men who "appreciate participating in activities involving nudism" for a daily cover charge of $15 at the door.

News 12 spoke with a man claiming to be the owner. He says the business caters to dozens of men a week and has been open for the past five years. He says no food or alcohol is served, adding that it's a safe place for bisexual and gay men to engage in intercourse.

Police and the district attorney's office point out that nothing illegal appears to be going on here because the meetings are consensual and the money paid is considered a cover charge.

Town officials say they have been working with the Building Department to try and shut down the business.

A spokesperson for the Orange County Health Department says officials there have no knowledge of the sex club.
