The Town of Wappinger is advising residents to close their toilet seats due to sewer line cleaning that may result in spattering.

A pollution control company and the Highway Department will be doing the cleaning over the next month. 

The town says it includes using high pressure water, so it could mean your toilet could gurgle or bubble depending on your plumbing. 

To prevent possible spattering, the town is warning residents to keep the covers closed. 

The cleaning should be done in November.
