Totowa Police Chief Carmen Veneziano will be arraigned Monday on domestic charges stemming from a September incident in Boston, according to officials in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

Veneziano is expected be formally charged with kidnapping, three counts of domestic assault and battery.

Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden’s Office alleges Veneziano confined and assaulted a woman in a Back Bay hotel room in the early morning hours of Sept. 14.

Totowa Mayor John Coiro told News 12 on Saturday that Veneziano was being held at the Bergen County Jail awaiting extradition to Massachusetts.

News 12 reached out to Veneziano's attorney and Boston police and was still waiting for more information as of Sunday night.
