A threatening message found in a bathroom stall prompted the evacuation of a school in Irvington Thursday.
The campus of Irvington Middle School/High School was cleared after the message was found. Superintendent Kris Harrison says it's procedure to evacuate when a threat is found.
Police brought in the K-9 unit to assess the threat. They are now working with school officials to determine the credibility of the message.
Superintendent Harrison said safety is the first priority. She said she will provide an update on the situation at the start of school Friday.
