Thousands of people in Rockland County mourned the death of Orthodox Jewish leader Grand Rebbe Harav Chai Yitzchok Twersky on Wednesday.
Twersky was born in Jerusalem and moved to the U.S. when he got married. He one of the last rebbe’s of the pre-Holocaust generation. He was appointed the Rachmastrivka Grand Rebbe in 1982 and was based in Borough Park in Brooklyn.
Twersky’s first funeral was held in Brooklyn and a second one took place in Rockland County.
