Um, we've had good weather but things are kind of going downhill. Now, for the weekend, we've got some rain moving in, but that's ok. Maybe you can stay indoors, decorate your house. The rainy day is going to be Sunday. We do have showers around this evening as well. But tomorrow we'll get a little bit of a dry period. It will be mostly cloudy and mild. Look at the highs this weekend, 56 on Saturday, 54 on Sunday. So Sunday will be the day where it's, uh, you know, pretty wet out there. It will be raining on and off for much of the day. Um, meteorological winter starts today. So go figure the cold spells over. We have those warm temperatures now, but basically December, January, February, it's typically the coldest time of the year. Um, of course, astronomical winter, the official start to winter is not coming until December 21st. But right now, winter is nowhere in sight that cold air is up in Canada. That's where we have the snow. It's mild right now. We're looking at a batch of rain on Long Island for the next few hours by 10 to 11 o'clock tonight, the rain moves out 6 a.m. Saturday. We're in the forties. We start the day with some low clouds and fog. Most of the day is fine. It's going to be a little bit gray. We have some light winds but that mild feel at night showers return light rain Sunday morning, a little bit of a late morning break and look at the afternoon, that rain will kind of be on and off for the rest of the day. So it will be a wet finish to the weekend. Monday. We get a break. Tuesday right now looks nice. We might have a couple of showers on Wednesday but cooler air is going to be building in for Wednesday and Thursday, a little bit of a chill will return to Long Island. So tonight we're in the forties, fifties for the weekend with that rain, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday looking pretty good through the end of the week. It's nice. It will be chilly with highs in the forties.

Maybe a slice of pizza, a burrito. It's difficult to do when you just sit. Exactly. It's so messy and $30. That's a bit pricey. So hope's not getting one clearly. How about the weather though? But you know, the weather is looking pretty decent for the next couple of days first, we got to just get through the rain. Here's your travel timeline for this evening. Now through at least 8 p.m. some steady rainfall watch for some puddles ponding on area roadways from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Still going to be dealing with some wet roads, but at least the showers are coming to an end after 10 p.m. Cloudy and chilly with areas of fog developing into tomorrow morning. So here's a look at your weekend forecast. Temperatures tomorrow 58 degrees. This could be the last time this year that we can actually see temperatures this mild. So go out there. Enjoy yourself, not going to see that beautiful sunshine. It is going to remain cloudy through the majority of the day. Some wet weather by our Sunday, this time, it's looking like a washout. Temperatures will be in the low fifties with some steady rain, rounds of showers throughout the day and even some moderate to heavy rainfall. I'll time that out shortly. But as of this evening, the rain will be coming to an end around eight pm, cloudy overnight with fog developing tomorrow morning still chilly, waking up tomorrow morning, 46 degrees, but at least this is where temperatures are going mid to upper fifties with clouds taking over our sky by tomorrow afternoon. So if you're thinking of doing any holiday shopping, any holiday decorating tomorrow will be your best bet to get things done. Some showers do push through mainly after 10 pm on our Saturday, taking us into Sunday and then expect rounds of rain and even some moderate to heavy pockets of downpours closer to 12 pm, even three o'clock in the afternoon and temperatures will be in the low fifties. Showers do move out of here on Sunday evening. Some drier air funnels in on our Monday and highs will be seasonable near 50 degrees. It really begins to cool down by the midweek temperatures in the low to mid forties and we're even seeing a few flakes by Wednesday morning.

All right, let's talk about that weather again. Meteorologist Addison Green here to give us a look at what the weekend has in store for us. It's raining. Is it going to be a wash out this weekend? Addison? I think Sunday, Nikita between the two weekend days looking to be more on the washout side of things. But hey, at least we have Saturday to look forward to where it's going to be relatively a mild one and dry one as well. But then we have, we're going towards Sunday. It does turn dreary, but moving on in overnight, it's going to be those showers moving from us, but the fog will linger around. So if you're going to be out and about keep your eyes on the roads up ahead of you. And then for next week while it's mild now, it's going to turn a little bit colder, kind of like how it was earlier on this week. Now, we're watching air blood pressure head up towards the northeast. It is definitely sending a lot of moisture up this way. Thankfully, we have just rain showers falling down, cold air is being kept behind the stationary front up across portions of Canada and the northern plains. So we're not going to be talking about snow showers coming on down. Although a few spots in the Catskills may see an ice pellet mixed on in with a flake, but we're talking like 3 4000 ft in elevation. So for the most part, most of us are fine, we do have heavier rain moving on in towards Rockland County, Westchester County as well. The little cluster of yellow to orange right there and it should be heading in towards Fairfield County within the next hour or two in the Scarsdale area, showers will wrap on up between seven and 10 o'clock tonight. You can see temperatures hanging out in the mid forties and you can go on in over with very light to calm winds. That's where we're going to be seeing that moisture lingering around. Couple that with the light winds dealing with some patchy fog coming around. But first things first, the rain adding on up when this day is done, not adding up to a ton, maybe 1/10 2 10th of an inch add on up what we're going to be seeing. Potentially on Sunday, we may put down an additional inch plus in those rain gauges and this is pretty much double if not triple than what we showed you yesterday at the same time frame. So new model data that we may be seeing more moisture come through. Hence more shower activity for our Sunday. Now, eight o'clock tonight, we have the showers wrapping up in Middletown. It's still raining and pretty much at a brisk pace in Brewster of 43 degrees out towards tomorrow. We start off with mostly cloudy skies. Patchy fog will be around should burn off towards the afternoon hours. Temperatures low to mid FF coming on and not bad for December 2nd overnight from Saturday to Sunday. Here comes light rain heading on through. We'll watch more scattered showers come on in towards the midday and then you can certainly see there's a lot more yellow and orange towards the afternoon hours as buckets of rain could be coming along as a second system moves in towards the northeast. It'll be leaving us before Monday. Morning's commute is underway but dry breezy winds will come on down. Colder temperatures from Monday to Tuesday and we're gonna be seeing our temperatures struggling to get out of the thirties for Wednesday. We do slowly bounce back as we head into next weekend. That address on your screen right now. All right, we're bringing hope back now for another check of that hyper local forecast. I've heard there's a warm up in our future hopes will be climbing into the mid to upper fifties this weekend. So that's something that we can look forward to. So we are also watching the some wet weather that's moving into our area right now. Here is the current timeline. So we're seeing some steady rain right now through at least 8 p.m. So watch for some puddles roads on area roadways and from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. just expect the roads to still remain wet, but the rain will be coming to an end. Can't rule out some drizzle some mist through at least 10 after 10 pm, cloudy and chilly with areas of fog developing into tomorrow morning. So taking a look at your weekend forecast, it looks like Saturday is going to be your best bet to really go out there and enjoy the conditions highs near 58. This will probably be the last time that we see temperatures this mild for the rest of the year, limited sunshine. So we're not going to see that bright beautiful sky but still an overall really decent day, Sunday looking more so like a washout, temperatures will be in a low to mid fifties and steady rain. Expect rounds of showers throughout the day and we will be catching brief breaks at times. So here's the timeline. So again, the rain will be moving out of here this evening. Tomorrow morning, we'll be waking up to some fog, reducing visibility. So, if you're one of those early risers, give yourself a few extra minutes and us, your low beam headlights, the clouds will take over by the afternoon and temperatures will be climbing once again to the mid to upper fifties. But we're not seeing the sunshine muted sunshine all day long with some showers to follow Saturday night into early Sunday morning. We're seeing some of that rain and even some moderate to heavy rainfall as we get into the day on our Sunday. Now, in terms of the rest of the weekend, even into early next week, temperatures will be tumbling back into the forties. All right.

Let's check in on the costs you can expect with our partners at investopedia. Some things are going to get cheaper. The overall meal though might be a little bit more expensive. Turkeys are pricing around $18.85 a pound for a £16 turkey for those of you in New Jersey that like that Taylor ham. You're looking at around $24.35 a pound there, potatoes a lot cheaper about $3 a pound than they were two years ago. Cranberries about a dollar 82 per can. Now time to help you save money. I went around stop and shop to help you the best promise. Should someone else have a lower price for these same turkeys? We'll match that. That's right. Bring in the ad where you saw it cheaper and they will honor it another trick that will definitely save you time. And in some cases, money maybe look for the pre made items. Now, not always, but in some cases it could be cheaper than making it yourself. Take, for instance, this apple crumble pie only 699. Now, let's tackle the sides. When you see the deals, strategize, you don't need to buy it for. Just now. A lot of these items can be used for Christmas for other holidays. This shopper does that?
