The disappearance of Edgemont’s Lauren Spierer marks 12 years

Saturday marked the 12th anniversary of Edgemont resident Lauren Spierer’s disappearance.
Spierer was last seen leaving the apartment of a fellow student at Indiana University in June 2011.
Despite numerous searches, thousands of interviews and tips, her whereabouts remain unknown.
The investigation of her disappearance is still ongoing, and a website is seeking tips.
Her mother Charlene Spierer took to the “Official Lauren Spierer Updates from Her Family” to urge anyone with information to call police:
“If you knew Lauren before her disappearance or if you came to know her afterwards, give her a thought today. Consider that in the time it takes you to remember something about Lauren, someone could have called 911 and this tragedy would never have happened."
