Officials say toxicology tests show that drugs were present in the system of a young girl who was found dead in Croton in April.
David Carr discovered his 6-year-old daughter Lacey Carr dead next to her unconscious mother on Easter Sunday.
Kathleen Dymes, Lacey's mother, is now recovering after spending weeks in a coma.
Toxicology tests performed on the first-grader revealed that a number of different drugs were present in her system.
Police have not filed any charges in the child's death, but the investigation is ongoing. They say they are looking at the possible presence of drugs and alcohol in Dymes' system.
Dymes has hired an attorney and declined to comment on the issue.
