Temple Park in Wappingers Falls is once again open for children's enjoyment after soil analysis showed that lead levels meet state and federal safety guidelines.

The park had been temporarily closed due to overhead lead-based telephone cables.

However, a state analysis found no evidence of elevated or widespread lead contamination.

The state is continuing its investigation into the telecommunication companies' abandoned cables.
