Teen with Tourette syndrome seeks to raise awareness
The Mario Cuomo Bridge will be illuminated in teal to mark the end of National Tourette Syndrome Awareness Month on Saturday.
Alexandra Cuttler, who lives with Tourette syndrome, made it her mission for this grand gesture after seeing Niagara Falls lit up last year.
The Hartsdale teenager reached out to local leaders to spread awareness about her own condition.
"I thought we should have something like that down near us to start the change and you know, once it starts, it's like a rolling boulder," Cuttler said.
Cuttler is a youth ambassador for the Tourette Association of America and says she wants to help young people like her get the help they need.
