Students at Spring Valley High School are getting a major shoutout from the mother of one of their classmates.
Donovan is a student at the school who has autism, and his mother said she was touched by the outpouring of support her son received during an awards ceremony this week.
"When all of the kids saw how overexcited he was and how proud of himself he was, the entire auditorium burst out cheering and screaming for him," Donovan's mother told News 12.
"Our kids are the warmest, most amazing kids on the face of the planet, and they showed that tonight," she added." They have no idea what they did for my son, and I think they deserve to know."
