A 17-year-old boy was stabbed and a 19-year-old man was shot near the Parkchester 6 train station, police say.

Officers responded to a 911 call for an assault inside Virginia Park, off of Hugh J. Grant Circle, just after 4:15 p.m. Monday.

News 12 cameras captured officers investigating in the pouring rain. Medical gloves were seen on the ground, surrounded by crime scene tape.

The NYPD says the 17-year-old was found with a stab wound to the lower back, while the 19-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.

Officers drove the 17-year-old and EMS transported the 19-year-old, both to Jacobi Hospital.

Police say the teens are expected to recover.

Information about what sparked the attack and who could be responsible was not immediately made available.
