Teen shot in the foot at Edenwald Houses

Police say a 14-year-old boy was shot once in the foot at the Edenwald Houses on Thursday night.
Officers responded to a call of a shooting at 4020 Laconia Ave. at around 9:37 p.m.
There they found the teen hurt. He was taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition.
It’s unclear if the violent act happened inside or outside of the building, but police say they are now focusing their efforts on finding the gunman.
Sources tell News 12 the shooter is a man, who was last seen wearing all black. He ran away from the crime scene after the gunfire.
The incident comes as police data shows gun violence in the 47th Precinct has increased by nearly 13% this year.
A total of 18 incidents have been reported this year, in comparison to 16 reported at the same time last year.
