One teenage girl is in the hospital and another is in custody after playing with a gun while in a home in southeast Yonkers on Tuesday.
An investigation revealed that the gun accidentally fired as the girls, both 17, were playing with it. The bullet pierced one girl's stomach.
Police still have not found the gun and have not ruled out charges against the victim. The other teen, Omaiah Thompson, faces charges of assault and possession of a weapon.
The victim underwent surgery and is expected to be OK. She could also face charges of reporting false information to police.
