Police say a 19-year-old man died after swerving off the road and crashing into a tree Saturday afternoon in Montebello.

Detectives say it happened on Kings Gate Road.

They say the driver was ejected from the car and died from his injuries.

The other passenger was in stable condition and was being treated as of Saturday night for injuries that were not life-threatening.

A cause of the crash was not immediately known.
